The presence of libraries on Facebook

My initiation into Facebook was entirely due to a stretch of boredom when maternity leave had not been all I had expected it to be. After weeks became months of isolation, I turned to Facebook as a way of keeping in touch with colleagues and lo and behold I started to come across friends who I had not seen or spoken to in over ten years. Information on the site spreads by word of mouth so I established a group of friends in the community quite easily. For every application I used, a news feed was sent to all my friends on Facebook and vice versa. I remember thinking at the time that this is really cool but little did I know that I was still scratching the surface of the potential of this social networking site.
