TROUBLE IN SEPTEMBER

The band Earth Wind & Fire once described September as a time that chases the clouds away, and indeed this month brings some of the best flying weather across the United States. The hazards we face are confined mainly to low ceilings near cold waters in places like California and Michigan, radiation fog in the Southeast, storms along fronts in the northern-tier states, and tropical storms rising up from southern latitudes.
