Broadband MMW Reflector Antenna with Fine Bearing Auto Track Horns for ECM Applications

A broadband millimeter wave (MMW) Reflector with fine bearing auto track horns for Electronic Counter Measure (ECM) application is described. This antenna generates high Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of the order of 100 kW and more. Two pairs of fine bearing auto track horns, one each for Azimuth and Elevation plane, working on amplitude comparison monopulse technique; steers the narrow beam parabolic reflector antenna accurately on to the enemy radar for effective jamming. Design, development, fabrication, electrical evaluation and results achieved for this antenna system are presented.
