The Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA) has issued a policy that establishes a two-step process for low-income housing tax credit project owners requesting qualified contract purchasers after their 14th year. AHFA's policy requires owners to give advance notice of their intent to request a qualified contract in the form of a preliminary application after the 14th year of their project's compliance period.
