Ground Movement Monitoring at Blackfriars Station

Strainstall have provided an extensive monitoring systemrnfor the Blackfriars Station Redevelopment project in London. The underground part of the station has been demolished and excavation of the site is underway before reconstruction starts. To keep the railway and underground lines operating safely, 10 main areas are monitored including:- neighbouring listed buildings, tunnels containing power, telecoms and gas services, the station itself, the London Underground District and Circle sub-surface tunnels and Waterloo and City deep tunnels.
