Kenro Okamoto at Toyota reports Toyota is examining this technology for the automotive side of its business. "Lithium-ion technology presents a few challenges for the material handling industry because of its significantly lighter weight versus lead-acid batteries and they do not aid the lift truck with its need for counterbalance weight."
