When We Stand Together, Mountains are Climbed

In February, the combined forces of America's fire and emergency services, EMS, law enforcement, state and local governments, commercial partners and our steadfast allies in the Obama administration and Congress scored a remarkable victory. On Feb. 22, President Obama signed the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act. Among its other provisions, this legislation authorized the creation of a nationwide broadband network for public safety. (See news story on page 8.)
