The First-In Automated Voice Dispatch System (FiAVD) automatically translates the CAD dispatch data from text to speech. The FiAVD call information then is transmitted over the station speakers and over the airrnto all units out of quarters. Dispatch center personnel utilize voice-management software for editing pronunciation, speed, accents and regional street names.
