In late 2007, TriData President Phil Schaenman went on a FIRE grant-funded visit to the U.K. with a Centers for Disease Control epidemiologist to gather information about what fire-and-rescue services were doing to reduce residential fires, injuries and fire fatalities. His article about the experience highlighted good practices in the U.K. and suggested that the U.S. take note and consider adopting the U.K. approach to fire prevention.
