Last November, amid a blaze of publicity it was announced that the innovative French high-speed BGV had secured its first orders, since then things have gone rather quiet. The owner of what will be the first BGV highspeed vessels has signed a deal for three cargo vessels and a pair of ro-ro vessels using the BGV (bateau a grande Vitesse) concept, but has declined to comment on the deal and has yet to find a yard to build the ships.
