As reported in the January 2007 issue of Solutions, Alfa Laval's tie up with Wallenius has resulted in a system which is now actively being marketed for newbuildings. The PureBallast system uses the Advanced Oxidation Technology (AOT) patented some time ago by Benrad a Swedish company later acquired by Wallenius.
