Pumps for all reasons

Exhibitions are natural choices to show off new products and at last year's SMM Germany's Allweiler presented a trio of new pumps all designed for totally different applications. The MELO series (Main Engine Lube Oil) is an alternative to conventional screw pumps for applications needing to move quantities of lubricating oil over 500-600m~3/h. The new MELO is a centrifugal pump with what Allweiler describes as "an excellent suction capability". Available in several sizes, the pump achieves a capacity of up to 1,600m~3/h and is suitable for oil temperatures up to 100℃. A two-stage design enables a pressure of up to 10bar and an intermediate bearing makes possible flexible immersion depths of up to 3,700mm.
