Sea Trials For Msc Fantasia

Last month saw the sea trials for the 118,000gt MSC Fantasia take place. The vessel is owned by MSC Cruises, a subsidiary of Switzerland-based MSC Mediterranean Shipping.The flamboyant vessel left St Nazaire on 24 October bound for the Forme Joubert dock. From there, it spent 48 hours at sea. The vessel is a sister ship to MSC Splendida, launched in July. Once sea trials and interior fitting are completed, the ship will be delivered to its owners on 10 December. On the same day, the flag-changing ceremony will be performed and the vessel will leave the shipyard and head for Naples, where it will be christened by the company's godmother, Sophia Loren.
