Central European countries count the cost of NATO's bombs on Danube's waters

An environmental initiative in eastern and central Europe, which will detect whether the war in Yugoslavia had had any long term pollution affects on the Danube, has been launched. The Danube Water Quality Transnational Monitoring Network will help countries bordering the river meet international anti-pollution standards by providing reliable environmental data.
