The anchoring of this book is in practical, day-to-day business realities. The findings of empirical research are at the core of the recommendations and of the conceptual model that organizes the recommendations into a coherent strategy. The author leads the reader through a long journey: from a new framework for implementing corporate sustainability to leadership, organizational and investment issues (Chapters 1-4); from performance measurement and the foundations of sustainability measurement to the implementation of measurements, reporting (Chapters 5-7 and 9) and a detour to organizational learning (Chapter 8) with a compass for one simple direction: make sustainability work.
