摘要

The important role played by melt crystallization in the formation of Cu-Ni magmatic deposits of the Norilsk and Sudbury types has been emphasized by many researchers. In particular, it has been supposed that fractionation of platinum group elements (PGEs) is caused by their redistribution in the course of directional crystallization of sulfide melt. Because the melt (L) solidification starts with crystallization of monosulfide solid solution (mss), the measurements of partition coefficients (k) between this phase and melt have received much attention in recent works. The experimental results are sufficiently consistent for the majority of PGEs, but they remain controversial for Rh.
