The Central-Type Zeya-Gilyui Structure and Its Ore Mineralization

Many researchers have defined central-type structures (CTS) at the Earth's surface. The most well known among Russian geologists are the works by V.V. Solov'ev, who established several different-rank structures on the territory of the former USSR. N.P. Romanovskii, E.A. Myasnikov, A.I. Dementienko, V.A. Stepanov, A.V. Mel'nikov, and others have, in different periods, studied central-type structures in the Upper Amur region and their mineralization. For example, Romanovskii defined and thoroughly described the central-type Amur megastructure, which is approximately 2000 km across. Previously, we defined and characterized several similar, although smaller structures corresponding to the BAM, Kirovsk, Tygda-Ulunga, and Chagoyan gold ore districts. We were the first to define the Zeya-Gilyui CTS, approximately 200 km in diameter, in the southern Stanovoi fold-block region of the Siberian Craton between the Stanovoi and Tukuringra ridges. In relief, it looks like several concentric and radial lineaments (Fig. 1). Watershed ridges with steep external and low-angle internal slopes form an outer circular border of the structure. Internal concentric and radial lineaments are emphasized by valleys of the Gilyui and Zeya river basins. In terms of its morphological features, it belongs to depression structures of platforms.
