摘要

Classification of bottom ground and sediments is important in prospecting for mineral resources and construction survey. The well-known remote profiling of the seafloor using echo sounders makes it possible to obtain information about the depth of the bottom, layers, and other inhomogeneities based on the distribution of the amplitude of reflected signals in the column of bottom sediments. However, the signal amplitude does not provide direct information about the acoustic parameters of the profiled medium, such as sound velocity in the ground.
