摘要

The cordierite structure includes vugs with molecules of H_2O, CO_2, CO, N_2, H_2, Ar, He, and hydrocarbons . Cordierite is stable in a wide TP range. This mineral occurs in metamorphic rocks (epidote-amphibolite, amphibolite, and granulite facies), horn-felses, xenoliths of volcanic rocks and granites, host granites, chilled rocks, pegmatites, lunar rocks, and even meteorites. Therefore, elaboration of a cordierite-based mineralogical method for the estimation of fluid pressure is of significant interest.
