Granitoid Magmatism and Hydrous Metamorphism in the History of the Uralian Platinum Belt: Sm-Nd (ID-TIMS) Isotope Constraints

In the early period of studies, the Platinum Belt of the Urals was regarded as a submeridional chain of differentiated gabbro intrusions. Recently grounds have arisen to consider it as a chain of fragments of a body, extended over 1000 km, which recorded the tectonic -metamorphic history of an ancient deep-seated zone that existed in the Ordovician—Late Silurian at the basement of the thick volcanic structure [1]. The tec-tonic-metamorphic development of the Belt includes two clearly manifested geological epochs.
