The Composition of Ferromanganese Crusts from the Atlantic Ocean

The ferromanganese crusts (FMC) formed on the surface of many underground mountains and hills are distributed in all oceans, but they have studied insufficiently so far, as studies were focused mainly on the crusts from the Pacific, which are highly enriched in nonferrous metals. Meanwhile, crusts from the Atlantic Ocean are also of interest, especially after the discovery of significant deposits of crust ores on the Knipovich Ridge in the Atlantic Ocean, which have been described previously in several publications [1-15], but their mineral and chemical compositions need further detailed study.
