Majoritic Garnets in Diamonds from Placers of the Northeastern Siberian Platform

Inclusions of majoritic garnets are one of the most important indicators of sublithospheric diamonds [1]. Majoritic garnets were established in diamonds from kimberlitic pipes of South Africa [2], Tanzania [3], Canada [4-7], China [8], and placer deposits of Brazil [9] and Guinea [10]. In Russia majoritic garnet was first identified in the Pomorskaya pipe (Arkhangelsk kimberlite province) [11]. Later, majoritic garnets were established in microdiamonds from kimberlitic pipes of the Yakutian diamond province [12].
