摘要

Greigite (Fe_3S_4) is a sulfide analog of magnetite. It is widely spread in the sediment deposits of various ages from the Holocene to the Paleozoic [1]. This fact makes important investigation of greigite as a carrier of paleomagnetic information, which has led to the appearance of a significant number of publications on the magnetic properties of greigite in the last 20 years. However, the conclusions of many researchers remain contradictory. In particular, this is related to one of the most important ferromagnetic characteristics, the Curie temperature.
