The results of experimental investigations of the conditions of the formation of silicic alumosilicate melts have been discussed in many publications [1,2, and others]. Experiments were usually performed under the conditions of fluid pressure, and finely dispersed material was used as a charge. The authors of these investigations consider that their run conditions were close or analogous to the conditions of the Earth's crust, where melts are formed. It is important that the results of the experiment were interpreted without account for the fact that the sizes of minerals in rocks, melting of which results in the formation of melts in the Earth's crust, are larger than the finely dispersed material applied in runs by several orders of magnitude. The evolution of the system volume at the crystal-melt phase transition was not regarded as well.
