On Periods of Multiplying Bifurcation of Early Pleistocene Glacial Cycles

The first researchers of the Pliocene and Pleis?tocene glacial cycles believed that the latter represent an almost linear response of the climate system to the latitudinal insolation redistribution induced by varia?tions in the precession and obliquity of the Earth's rotation axis [1]. The available paleoclimatic data confirm this conclusion, but only partly. Indeed, the 40-ka-long periods of variations in axis obliquity pre?vail in spectra of Pliocene cycles. At the same time, they demonstrate no significant spectral peaks corre?sponding to precession fluctuations.
