Contents of Trace Elements in Olhines from Diamonds and Peridotite Xenoliths of the V. Grib Kimberlite Pipe (Arkhangelsk Diamondiferous Province, Russia)

This paper presents the results of high precision determinations of the major and trace elements (Ni, Ca, Mn, Cr, Al, Co, and Ti) in olivines from inclusions in diamonds, pyrope peridotite xenoliths, and phlogo-pite-pyrope peridotite xenoliths of the V. Grib pipe. Examination of the major and trace elements in oliv?ines inclusions in diamonds from the V. Grib pipe indicates that the diamonds primarily formed in a strongly depleted peridotite substrate. The average Fo content in olivines from inclusions in diamonds is close to the average Fo content in olivines from kim-berlites and lamproites globally.
