摘要

The Vilyui system of rift basins is the largest destructive structure formed as a result of the split of the Early Paleozoic Siberian Continent in the Middle Paleozoic [1]. According to the geological, strati-graphic, and geochronological data, the rift system was formed within the range of D_2-C_1. Its formation was accompanied by high magmatic activity, the results of which were most completely preserved in the Vilyui rift structure. The distribution of magmatic products in it provides evidence for the zonal character of magmatism (Fig. 1). Volcanic processes formed the series composed of basaltic sheets and interbedding terrigenous-carbonate and salt-bearing rocks.
