摘要

A sedimentary basin as a definite tectonic type is an important problem, since it allows us to estimate the oil and gas potential. Study of the reasons for and mechanisms of the formation of concrete sedimentary basins, along with other methods, is performed using the method of backstripping analysis [1]. This one-dimensional method is valuable, since it provides quantitative information on the dynamics of subsidence in a given point of the basin independently of the prior conceptions of a researcher. From the example of the Vilyui sedimentary basin, we analyzed the evolution of sedimentation in order to understand the mechanisms of its formation.
