The peculiarities of the formation of modern bottom sediments of the White Sea and rivers flowing in it (Severnaya Dvina, Onega, Kern', and others) have recently attracted a great deal of attention from researchers. This interest was essentially stimulated by special multidisciplinary studies within the project "The White Sea System" [1, 2].
