New Data on Fauna and Stratigraphy of the Semibalki Locality, Azov Region

摘要

Fauna in the Semibalki locality (Azov Region), its stratigraphic position, and its age were considered. The rocks composing sediments with fossil theriofauna were subject to petrochemical analysis. Taking into account the lithological features of the sediments containing this fauna, it is possible to make the conclusion that the fossil fauna remains are allochthons and their age range is somewhat broader than was considered before.
