The White Sea has a complex history of sedimentation in the Holocene. The scheme of climatic periods for sediments of the postglacial period in the White Sea [1] is based on analysis of the palynological complexes and the complexes of diatomic flora, foramin-ifera, and mollusks. Age dating (by AMS-~(14)C) was applied for two key cross sections (Stations 6050 and 6062) [2]. In this paper we make an attempt to determine the portion of terrigenous material introduced in the White Sea from land in the different stages of the Holocene from the late glacial period to the modern stage of water reservoir evolution using analysis of the carbon isotope composition of organic matter (OM) in sediments.
