摘要

Twenty-five years of studying acoustic noise in the upper crust have led to organization of the geoacoustic observatory (GO), which allows researchers to study in detail the fundamental processes of deformations of the Earth's crust by gravity fields; for this purpose, acoustic noise caused by these deformations is observed. By the end of 2011, the authors, jointly with colleagues from the Institute of Applied Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences (Nizhny Novgorod), had organized the satellite well (SW) on the basis of the Vorotilovo Deep Well (VDW) located about 80 km north of Nizhny Novgorod (56°58' N, 43°43' E).
