EPR Spectroscopy of Cubic Diamonds from Placers in the North-East of the Siberian Platform: New Type of Nitrogen Centers

Cubic diamonds of variety II (by the mineralogical classification ofYu.L. Orlov [1]) with yellowish green, yellow, and orange colors are typical of numerous placers in the area of the Lena—Olenek—Anabar inter-fluves in the North-East of the Siberian Platform. In addition to some other diamond varieties, they form a peculiar association, which is not typical of the richest kimberlite pipes from the central areas of the Siberian Platform, as well as for the poorly diamondiferous pipes known in the same northeastern areas [2].
