Calculation model of the flood wave velocity in forecasting of floods in the absence of information

摘要

A calculation model is elaborated for the flood wave velocity in rivers in forecasting floods. The novelty of the model is related to the calculation of the flood wave velocity of flooding in floodplain-free valleys and valleys with a wide inundated floodplain, which is able to accumulate the flood waters. The calculations are possible at various levels of flood waters and in the absence of data on the water discharge.
