Campus Anaerobic Digester Is First for Continent

The first high-solids dry-fermentation anaerobic digester in the Americas was dedicated in July at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Owned by the university, the biogas plant was designed and constructed by BIOFerm™ Energy Systems, a member of the Viessmann Group. The plant turns high-solids organic material - food waste, yard waste and crop residue - into heat and electricity, utilizing a combined heat and power unit manufactured by 2G-Cenergy.
