BTEC Praises New Congressional Biomass Caucus

The Biomass Thermal Energy Council (BTEC) has applauded the formation of the first Congressional Biomass Caucus. Led by Reps. Charlie Bass, R-N.H., and Peter Welch, D-Vt, this coalition will seek to support the development of biomass and elevate the renewable resource's profile in Congress. Reps. Bass and Welch have circulated a letter encouraging their colleagues to join the caucus. The BTEC is an association that engages in research, education and public advocacy for the biomass thermal energy industry. Its members include biomass fuel producers, appliance manufacturers and distributors, supply chain companies and nonprofit organizations.
