Despite a bearish market punctuated by countless dot-com and new-media stock plunges, NAB 2001 bull-ishly continued with last year's theme, "The Convergence Marketplace." Apparently the message is still a relevant one, as there was a slight increase in the number of exhibitors — 1,700 compared to about 1,500 last year — and just a small drop off in attendance — 112,000 versus 115,000 last year -despite tough fiscal times.
