A valuable example of how an employee defined the structural and affective part of his work process was uncovered in a study of product development projects conducted at Aalborg University Department of Business Studies in Denmark from January 2000 until December 2001 in 11 firms (http://www.business.aau.dk/pie/). On the third consecutive interview with the project manager in one of the studied firms, he was asked to draw a picture illustrating his way of working within the firm. Figure 1 shows the way he illustrated this.
