Adventure education - a new way to confront reality!

摘要

Executive outdoor adventure has become mainstream for Fortune 500 companies. Wilderness adventures are more than an opportunity to get out of the office, these adventures are also a time for individuals to test their mettle, reconnect with the value of teamwork and an opportunity to use strategy skills in unusual ways. Even though the people who participate in these adventures are successful in business, they come away with a new sense of accomplishment that is very meaningful to them. The principle underlying the use of such training is that participants learn better through doing than through reading, hearing or observing. This principle of "discovery learning" has become almost commonplace in teaching and training. But in training of any kind - with its focus on behavioral and attitudinal change - active learning is, by far, the most effective method.
