Managing mistakes to the players' advantage: lessons from coaching in football (soccer)

This article is based on my experience in developing coaches for professional football clubs in England. The lessons from this may have much to offer coaches in other contexts. The idea of coaching in organizations has come from sport so there may be something to be gained from looking at best practice in sport. This article focuses specifically on learning from mistakes in sport.
