Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Post-non-classical Scientific Rationality

The ethics of artificial intelligence (AI) has been the focus of many studies by contemporary scientists, but attempts to create any kind of effective and universally accepted ethical system for the application and development of AI have so far been unsuccessful. This unfortunate fact makes us once again turn to the issue of the importance of an ethical component in artificial intelligence systems, the establishment of which, in our opinion, is impossible without an understanding of the framework conditions of the post-nonclassical stage of scientific development of our time. This stage imposes new challenges on moral and ethical dimension of AI, which must now consider complex phenomenon of mixed (or hybrid) reality. In this regard, the authors of the paper carried out philosophical and methodological analysis of the framework conditions of AI ethics within the context of post-nonclassical scientific rationality and put forth a set of theoretical insights, valuable for ethical discourse of AI-enabled systems.
