An operating system is a code that interfaceswith the end-user and executes the end-user orapplications' commands on their behalf. Conventionally,operating systems were used in desktop computers tofacilitate end-users. During the past few years, tremendousadvancements have been made in the domain of mobileoperating systems. Many operating systems have evolved,such as Android, iOS, SymbianOS, Firefox OS, etc. Thispaper discusses Android and IOS operating systems. Thepaper provides quantitative comparisons between thembased on a comprehensive survey. The paper analyzes thedata using association rules mining and k-mode clustering.It was found that the user interface of the phone heavilyinfluences the satisfaction and adoption of a mobile phone.
