We have read with great interest the recentlypublished article about the interfascial shoulder blockade (1). In the aforementioned study, Dr. Kim and colleagues report that this modified approach is an easy,safe, and reproducible technique for regional anesthesia of the shoulder joint, particularly when comparedwith the perivascular approach originally proposed byRothe et al (2). However, we would like to highlightsome observations related to efficacy issues of the different techniques.
