Douglas C. Frechtling: promoting research excellence

I am honoured to have the opportunity to highlight the scholarly accomplishments of Doug Frechtlingwhom I have known for 44 years. Doug was born in Washington, DC in 1943, and grew up in theDC metropolitan area. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy degree in economics from Te GeorgeWashington University, Washington, DC (1973), Master of Philosophy (Economics) from the sameinstitution (1970), and Bachelor of Arts (economics) degree from Hamilton College, Clinton, NewYork (1965). He also earned a Graduate Certifcate in Survey Design and Data Analysis from TeGeorge Washington University (2011).
