Number of FDA BIMO Inspections Jumps Significantly in FY 2018

The number of bioresearch monitoring (BIMO) inspections increased 31 percent in fiscal year (FY) 2018 to 1,261 inspections from 965 in FY 2017, according to the agency’s annual BIMO metrics report. The major increase comes after three years of declining inspections. There were 1,055 BIMO inspections in FY 2016, 1,113 inspections conducted in FY 2015 and 1,136 inspections in FY 2014.
