摘要

Spindle inhibitors (colchicine, parafluorophenylalanine) have been demonstrated to reduce the average chromosome length. In this report chromosome length measurements were used for quantitative measurement of the effects of Cd++ Hg++ AsO2- SeO3- on the spindle. All four metal compounds significantly reduced the average chromosome length. Induction of metallothionein seemed to modify the spindle-inhibiting effects of Cd++ Hg++.
