摘要

The combining effect of the lys- and mutant 7-gene was leading to lysine improvement of the double-recessive seeds. The highly raised lysine content in the double-recessives was due to an increase of lysine-rich components of the albumin fraction as well as an increased content of glutelin, whereas the enhanced lysine content of the hordein fraction had no effect on total lysine. Because of but a moderate decrease of grain weight, the double-recessives seem promising for practical breeding purposes.
