90growingsnails(Archachatinamarginata)ofmeanweight64.3±2.56gwereusedtoinvestigatethenutritivepotentialofthepeelsofmango,plantain,cocoyamandpawpaw.Freshpawpawleafservedasthecontrol.nbsp;Thestudylasted180days.nbsp;ThepeelsofthedifferentfruitshadsimilarcompositionbutwereconsiderablelowerinDM,crudeproteinandashcontentcomparedwiththepawpawleaves.nbsp;Growthperformancewasadequateonallthefruitpeelsbutwasbestwithripepawpawpeel,whichgaveresultscomparabletothecontroldietofpawpawleaves.Itisconcludedthatallthethepeelsweresuitableforfeedingasthesoledietofsnails.
