Bioinformatic analysis of coding regions of Foxl2 gene among species

The genetic diversity of the complete coding sequence (CDS) of?Foxl2?gene from 19 species, including?Mus musculus, Rattus norvegicus,?Homo sapiens, Pan troglodytes, Sus scrofa, Gallus gallus, Bos taurus, Oryctolagus cuniculus, Oryzias luzonensis, Oryzias latipes, Xenopus laevis, Oreochromis aureus, Danio rerio, Trachemys scripta, Ellobius lutescens, Alligcltor mississippiensis, Kryptolebias marmoratus, Odontesthes hatchery?and?Odontesthes bonariensis,?was analyzed using bioinformatics. The characteristics of composition of nucleic acid and amino acid, leader peptides, signal peptide, trans-membrane topological structure, hydrophobicity or hydrophilicity,?protein?secondary structure and structure domain were also analyzed. The results showed that a total of 447 polymorphic sites were detected from 33 sequences of 19 species, from which 24 hapolotypes were sorted. The genetic diversity of the?Foxl2?gene CDS was rich within and among species. The Foxl2 protein in these species was a non trans-membrane protein without leader peptides and has signal peptide in N-terminal, with the hydrophilic polypeptide chain. The main motifs of predicted secondary structure of?Foxl2?are?random coil and alpha helix.?There is a common?conserved?structure domain.
