With a 600-metric ton (660-ton) rated lift capacity, the new Liebherr LR 1600/1 can be employed on its tracks as a conventional mobile crawler crane, or on its swing-out outriggers as a stationary pedestal crane. In its standard lifting configuration, the new model uses a main boom and reinforced jib, but it can be rigged for greater capacity with a derricking system that uses a suspended counterweight or a counterweight trailer with variable-radii capability.
